Van stock
For engineers
If your company keeps stock, the office links a van to you. You’ll find it under Profile → Van stock.
What’s on your van
Section titled “What’s on your van”Van stock lists each part and how many you have. A part marked Low is below the minimum your office set: they get told, so you don’t need to ring.
Stock on its way
Section titled “Stock on its way”When the office sends you parts, they show under On its way and you get a notification. When they’re on the van, tap Confirm received. Until you do, they don’t count as on your van.
Using parts on a job
Section titled “Using parts on a job”On the visit, open Parts used:
- Parts Reserved for this job are at the top. Tap Use.
- For anything else on your van, search by name or SKU and tap Use.
- Check the quantity and tap Add to job.
The part comes off your van and goes on the job. You only see quantities, never prices.
If a part isn’t on your van, the app shows where it’s held, like “2 at Bristol warehouse”. Tap the phone icon to call the office and they’ll get it to you.
Returning a reserved part
Section titled “Returning a reserved part”Didn’t need a part that was reserved for the job? Tap Return next to it and choose:
- Back on van if it’s fine to use again,
- Damaged — don’t restock if it can’t be used. The office sees it was written off.
No van?
Section titled “No van?”If you see “You don’t have a van set up”, ask the office to link one to you. You can still record items with Item not on the van.
