# What your engineer sees

A short tour of the engineer app: accepting the day, doing the visit and finishing the job.

Your engineer opens the app and sees **My Day**: today's visits in time order, with hazards flagged at the top.

1. They tap **Accept today's jobs** once, to say they've seen the day. You'll see **Day accepted** next to their name in the planner.
2. At each job they tap **Start travelling**. The customer is emailed that the engineer is on the way.
3. On arrival they tap **I've arrived on site**. That's the moment the attend SLA is met.
4. They take before and after photos, fill in any forms, note the materials used and write a short work summary.
5. They tap **Finish job** and answer one question: **Is the job complete?**
   - **Yes**: the job moves to **Complete**.
   - **No**: they say what's still needed, and the job moves to **Attended** for you to sort out.
6. The customer signs on the phone, and a job report is made and emailed to them.

Every step is time-stamped and shows on the job's timeline in the office.

That's the whole loop. From here, read the guide for [your role](/roles/owners/), or carry on with [quotes](/quotes/send-a-quote/) and [invoices](/invoices/invoice-a-job/).
