# Form templates

The checklists, service sheets and inspections your engineers fill in, and how visits get the right forms.

Form templates are the forms engineers fill in on site: a gas safety check, a fire alarm inspection, a risk assessment. Sustainable ERP comes with a starter set for several trades. You can change them or make your own.

Open **Settings → Form templates** to see them, with their version and what uses them.

## How a visit gets its forms

- **By job type:** forms linked to a job type are on every visit of that type. Set them in **Settings → Job types**.
- **By asset type:** forms linked to an asset type are filled in once for each asset of that type on the job, like one boiler check per boiler. Set them in **Settings → Asset types**.
- **By maintenance plan:** a planned maintenance (PPM) plan can name its own form.

Each link can be **required**: the engineer can't finish the visit until it's done.

## Versions

A published form never changes. When you edit a form and publish it, it becomes a new version. Visits already under way keep the version they started with, so a form filled in last month always reads the way it did.
