# When an engineer answers "No"

What to do when a job comes back at Attended because the engineer needs to go back, order parts or get a quote.

At the end of every visit the engineer answers **Is the job complete?** If they answer **No**, they write what's still needed, and the job moves to **Attended**.

Find these jobs in **Jobs** by filtering the stage to **Attended**. Open one and read the **Stage reason**: that's the engineer's note.

Then do whichever fits:

- **Another visit is needed.** Book it from the planner or with **Book visit** on the job. The job stays at **Attended** until the next visit is finished.
- **Parts are needed.** Select **Awaiting parts**. See [Mark a job as Awaiting Parts](/jobs/awaiting-parts/).
- **It needs pricing first.** Open the job's menu and choose **Raise quote**. When the customer accepts, you can turn it into a job.
- **It's actually done.** Select **Mark complete**.

Jobs at **Attended** can still be invoiced for the work done so far.

## When a check fails

A failed check on a form can raise a remedial job by itself, linked to this one, and tell the office. It depends on how the form is set up: see [When a form fails](/settings/when-a-form-fails/).
